Stan Johnson Company History
After launching Stan Johnson Company in 1985, Stan quickly identified an untapped niche in the commercial real estate market. He decided early on to specialize in the net lease space, and for nearly 30 years, Stan Johnson Company was focused almost exclusively on investment sales of net lease properties. This historic focus allowed us to build an unparalleled shared database while also creating many exclusive platform services and sales tools uniquely tailored to the net lease space. This specialized focus and expertise has positioned us to develop many deep, long-term relationships that span the industry, and in an effort to better serve our valued clients, our most recent focus has been on expanding and diversifying our service lines.
We are headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where our first 20 years of business were conducted. During this time, we grew from one to 20 brokers, each mentored and trained to do business consistent with Stan’s vision for the company. In 2008, we opened our first regional office in Houston, Texas. As a result of our strong success in Houston, we went on to launch an aggressive, national expansion plan that included offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, and others. To date, we have professionals located in multiple regional offices and have a coast-to-coast presence.
With more than 100 brokers, we have the largest team in the nation of net lease investment sales experts partnering with professionals focused on going beyond net lease. Our dedication to diversification is helping us grow and expand quickly into other areas including multi-tenant retail, office, industrial, healthcare, and self-storage sales, as well as other specialty products and service lines.
All sales professionals have access to our proprietary platform, which is a common set of tools and services shared across the firm and its affiliates. Our platform provides industry leading services such as property marketing, real-time market research and tracking, recruiting, training, and more. We provide access to a professional support staff in order for our sales team to focus on doing what they do best – building relationships.
Now in our fourth decade, we have closed nearly 7,500 transactions exceeding $45 billion in sales volume. We will continue to grow, but regardless of our size, we will not lose sight of who we are. Our Core Values are the foundation of our success. They are not simply words on a corporate mission statement or a plaque we hang on the wall – Fit, Integrity, Relationships, Service and Teamwork. This is who we were at the onset of our company, who we are today, and who we will be as we continue to grow, expand, and diversify.
